Supplementary and Naturopathic Therapies

Supplementary and naturopathic treatments are practicable as a complement to orthodox medical therapy or as stand-alone treatments if orthodox medical concepts are no longer practicable or no longer available. These procedures are always implemented with the goal of stimulating and strengthening the body's own natural defences and immune system. The spectrum ranges from unconventional methods with a scientific approach (including: mistletoe lectins, antioxidants, orthomolecular medicine) to classical supplementary procedures (e.g. immunomodulatory therapies, phytotherapy, physical and relaxation therapy procedures) up to rather colourful and controversial so-called "fringe" practices (including: shark cartilage, Bach flowers, spiritual healing, psychosomatic energetic). In each of these cases, there is need for discussion so that a treatment concept can be created for the individual patient that is concomitant and reproducible.
