Experimental Therapy

Quite often patients have been previously treated and/or suffer with tumours for which there are no effective therapies or such therapies are either insufficiently known or unavailable. This is the domain of experimental therapies. The therapy spectrum includes e.g. clinical trials and clinical studies. It needs to be noted that every convincingly effective cancer medication was at one time offered and developed in the context of clinical studies. Currently, the trend especially includes new cancer medications from the specialised area of personalised therapy. Finally, it may be possible to attempt healing in some individual cases, e.g. within the framework of tumour vaccines with dendritic cells. Utilised in such are also metronomic therapies, i.e. the continuous administration of active agents in a low-dosed and orally administrable (tablet) manner.
